Alex Husson was caught by the Baltimore Police Department's Regional Auto Task Force late in the afternoon on Tuesday, Sept. 5 after being involved in an officer-involved shooting.
The Ellicott City resident was caught and taken into custody without further incident in the 9700 block of Robert Jay Way.
Shortly before 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, detectives were inside a convenience store in the 3600 block of Wilkens Avenue when they spotted a man stealing before getting into an SUV according to a spokesperson from the Baltimore Police Department.
As the man was attempting to flee with his stolen merchandise, he struck two officers with the SUV, prompting one to fire his weapon at the suspect vehicle.
Police say that Husson was not struck during the incident.
Paramedics were called to the store to take both officers to area hospitals for treatment of undisclosed injuries, officials said.
Husson was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility in Baltimore, where charges are pending. The incident remains under investigation.
